Hossack is a native of Steinbach, Manitoba Canada. In her early years, she grew up and studied with her father in Killarney Manitoba. She was active in musical theatre productions. Following her first semester at Brandon University, she was a piano major. Her major changed to Voice. When she graduated, she stated she only would like to be an actor and had no interest in drama. She studied fine arts at Banff School of Fine Arts following her graduation from Brandon. Following her graduation from college, Hossack performed on the stage at The Muskoka Festival in Ontario as in Winnipeg as well as on the Rainbow Stage in Winnipeg.
