Awkwafina Awkwafina, an American actor and singer, began by releasing a humorous rap track that dealt with issues of sexual and race. The career of the singer and actress grew to Hollywood after she released an album of raps. Nora Lum was born to Chinese Korean immigrants living in Forest Hills Queens. Her first experience with music came from the trumpet. After a classical and jazz education She delved into hip-hop when she was an teen. In the end, she focused on her education. she was awarded an education in journalism at university and also a women's study degree. It wasn't until she graduated that her focus shift to music. In 2012, My Vag (as a retort to Mickey Avalon's My Dick) became an online hit, and it was featured on her debut album Yellow Ranger. The singer decided to make acting careers after having completed her two previous ventures as a musician and author.
